Leapmotor Celebrates Production Milestone with 500,000th Vehicle and Expands Global Presence

The company reached this milestone in just over 100 days after producing its 400,000th vehicle.

Chinese new energy vehicle manufacturer Leapmotor, which has also entered the Nepalese market, recently celebrated the production of its 500,000th mass-produced vehicle, a Leapmotor C16 Intelligent Driving Edition. The company reached this milestone in just over 100 days after producing its 400,000th vehicle.

Since hitting the 400,000 mark in early July, Leapmotor has seen its sales consistently rise. In August and September, the company achieved monthly sales exceeding 30,000 vehicles, with weekly sales surpassing 10,000 units during the last week of September. For the first nine months of 2024, total sales surpassed 170,000 vehicles, marking a remarkable 94.6% increase compared to the previous year.

The 500,000th vehicle, the C16, is a six-seat electric SUV and serves as the flagship model built on Leapmotor's LEAP3.0 technology platform. It features the company’s proprietary Four-Leaf Clover central integrated electronic and electrical architecture, making it a software-defined vehicle that provides an exceptional intelligent and luxurious cabin experience.

On the global front, Leapmotor is expanding its reach through a partnership with Stellantis. On September 24, it launched the C10 and T03 models in Europe. 

Currently, Leapmotor operates in 13 European countries with over 200 dealerships and aims to establish 500 sales points by the end of 2025. Additionally, starting in the fourth quarter of 2024, the company plans to expand into the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Africa, and South American markets.
